It’s your girl, Shenzy. If you check this site on a regular, you would realize I’m a poet. however, I wasn’t interested in writing any poetry today. I want to get to know my audience.
Yes, I’m talking about you. I want to know you. Let us talk.
Today’s topic is about “COMMITMENT”.
Nope, I’m not speaking about a relationship. I’m speaking about your goals and self-care.
Are you truly committed to your goals?
I thought I was, but I am far from it. My distractions were greater than my focus and that was a problem. I would spend hours on Instagram, facebook, and twitter just scrolling through and refreshing the page every minute. It was exhausting, but it was a habit. Habits are hard to break, especially if you aren’t mentally strong.
I was the Queen of Procrastination.
One day life hit me. I have so many goals, but I am not working on them. So, I started to watch more positive videos that would boost my confidence. However, I’m still lacking and I’m working on myself right now.
Why don’t we do it together?
So far this is what I’m doing.
- The moment I wake in the morning, I start listening to positive speeches from Les brown or other inspirational speakers. I even downloaded a Les brown motivational speeches app. It’s great.
- I’m Jamaican and it’s more comfortable speaking in patois than standard English. However, now this has become a problem. So I decide to read at least two books a month to improve on my grammar, etc.
- I’m aiming for a 4.0 Gpa, so I’m substituting the time I use for social media to study.
- I am trying to build my audience for my website so I would spend an hour each day writing and engage with other bloggers.
This is just a few. However, I want to know more about you. Do you feel like you are committed to your goals?
If not, what’s stopping you. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or just comment. Let us talk.
